The 14th Annual Youth Hockey Fights for Kids with Autism will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from noon to 9 pm at the Wings Event Center (3600 Vanrick Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49001). This event raises funds for GLC’s autism treatment programs and supports families with out-of-pocket expenses, including insurance copays, coinsurance, transportation costs, and essential program supplies that help youth reach their goals.
Event day activities include the following:
High School games:
· 12:15 pm: United vs Riley (S. Bend)
· 2:45 pm: Mattawan vs Jenison
· 5:15 pm: Portage vs Eagles
Collegiate game:
· 8:30 pm: WMU Stallions vs Calvin Knights
A recent GLC graduate will perform a ceremonial puck drop at each high school game.
There will be a Chuck-A-Puck contest during each game.
The silent online auction opens on January 17 at noon and closes at 9 pm on event day. Items will be displayed during the event on the 24th.
This is a partnership with the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association (KOHA), the South Central High School Hockey League, the WMU Stallions (D3 team), and GLC.
The goal is to raise over $20,000 to help the youth and families served with assistance with copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, transportation costs, and GLC programs.
Please help us reach our goal in 2026 by becoming a sponsor. For more information, contact Darci Stevens at dstevens@resopp.org
